Union Grove High School (UGHS) senior Mehlia Michna has achieved a significant milestone in her artistic journey by winning first place in the District 1 Congressional Art Competition. Her winning piece, a stunning colored pencil drawing titled "A Representation of Me," has earned the honor of being displayed in the United States Capitol Building for an entire year.
Mehlia’s exceptional talent and dedication to her craft have not gone unnoticed. Her artwork, which captures a deep and personal reflection of herself, impressed the judges and stood out among numerous entries from talented young artists across the district. This accolade not only highlights her skill but also her ability to convey profound emotions through her art.
