Union Grove High School students achieved an extraordinary milestone during the 2023-2024 school year, saving a total of $375,273.31 in college tuition through transcripted credit courses. These courses, which allow students to earn both high school and college credit, are offered in partnership with Gateway Technical College and are taught by Union Grove High School teachers who have been vetted and certified as adjunct faculty members.
This impressive tuition savings places Union Grove High School as the #1 school in Racine and Kenosha counties in terms of dual credit course savings. Students enrolled in these courses not only get a head start on their college education but also save significantly on the costs of higher education.
Mr. Wetzel, Career & Technical Education Coordinator, highlighted the importance of these opportunities, stating, “These amazing opportunities for all students are built into our CTE pathways with the hard work and dedication of our amazing CTE teachers.”
Union Grove’s strong partnership with Gateway Technical College continues to benefit students, offering them valuable early college credits in courses aligned with various Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. These pathways provide practical skills and knowledge, ensuring students are well-prepared for their future careers and higher education endeavors.
