After ten years of dedicated service to Union Grove High School, Principal Joel Adamczyk has announced his plans to retire at the end of the school year. Joel has devoted 28 years to public education, serving as a business education teacher, adjunct instructor at Gateway Technical College, and high school administrator. As an administrator for the last 21 years, his career has been filled with growth, leadership, and a deep commitment to students.
Joel’s passion for students has been the heart of his work. Whether greeting students with his signature phrase, “It’s a Great Day to Be a Bronco!” or connecting with them one-on-one, relationships have always come first. He often says the best part of his day is the kids—and those who know him, know that’s truly how he feels.
Under his collaborative leadership, Union Grove High School has strengthened its alternative education program, expanded opportunities through Project Lead the Way, reestablished the agriculture program and facility, and refined career pathways for all students. Joel’s collaborative, student-centered approach has left a lasting impact.
When asked about retirement, Joel shared his excitement to spend more time with his grandkids, enjoy the company of family and friends, and relax on his pontoon up in Tomahawk.
Please join us in thanking Principal Adamczyk for his years of service and dedication to UGHS. We are grateful for his leadership and all he has helped build for our Bronco Family.
