AP Biology students attended a research conference sponsored by UW-Milwaukee where they shared research on environmental effects on zebrafish embryo development. The keynote speaker was UGHS graduate Natalie Vitek who is currently a sophomore at Carthage College. Natalie's younger sister Paige Vitek, along with her group members Audrey DeYong and Corrine DeYong were awarded Outstanding Research Poster for their work! Additionally Sam Grimes and Tobin Van De Water earned Special Commendation for their poster. Congratulations to all! This opportunity was a preview of the types of conferences that students might participate in at a college level and was a great experience.
